About

Disability Sports Humber is the biggest disability sports charity in the Humber area supporting 100’s of disabled people weekly in sport.

We so often see how much sport changes people lives from improving their mental health to giving some time to rest for carers.

We work in a number of ways –
• Giving grants to disabled people to keep playing sport, for example a grant for a special sports chair
• Helping fund the clubs so they can keep open to make sure there will always be sport for all in the area.
• Holding events to showcase what disability sports can do, whilst fundraising.
Disability sports in the Humber area has a funding gap of over £30,000 a year which we try to bridge with all the work we do. However we need the public’s support to be able to keep 100’s of disabled people playing the sports they love and help to continue changing their lives.

Kai Gill who received one of our grants –
‘I contacted Disability Sports Humber about my fundraising for a specialised backrest to support my spine whilst playing powerchair football. I am really grateful for the support they have given me. The support they give to disability sports clubs and athletes is phenomenal, without DSH we would all be stuck in a corner. Please continue to support Disability Sports Humber to progress even further with making a huge difference in disability sports in the area.’
