Wheelchair basketball is played in a special sports chair which the club has spares on offer for you to play in. Just like normal basketball the court is the same size with 5 players on the court at each time. Rules are very much the same and even the height of the net is the same.
A player can push their wheelchair and bounce the ball simultaneously, however if the ball is picked up and/or placed on the players lap, the player is only allowed to push twice before they must shoot, pass, or dribble the ball again. There is no double dribble rule in wheelchair basketball.
The game is open to disabled and able bodied players but each team is only allowed a certain number of points on the court at one time. If you would like more info contact us below.
